Welcome to the PeterMacShow! PDF Print E-mail

The Peter Mac Radio Talk show is hosted by Peter H. McCandless, PhD. and broadcast every Sunday from 2pm-4pm CST on www.republicbroadcasting.org.  The show is dedicated to the promotion of individual rights as expressed in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution for the United States of America.

Our Declaration of Independence holds that we have “...unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”  The Constitution for the United States of America. was established to provide for a government constrained to the protection of those rights.

The Tenth Amendment specifically states that “The Powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, or prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” Yet today, our government is seemingly not bound by the Constitution.

The vast size and powers of the federal government have destroyed much of the freedom our forefathers sought to give us when they wrote “we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our Sacred Honor” and then undersigned the Declaration of Independence.

Much of the federal government is a wasteland of bureaucrats who intrude upon the lives of law-abiding citizens. They impose upon us a bewildering maze of regulations and law. These regulations and law, most of which are clearly outside the scope of the Constitutional powers of the federal government, stifle creative productivity, impede peaceful interaction, and often pit one group of Americans against another.

To restore our liberties, we must understand the philosophical underpinnings of individual rights, challenge those who would maintain and expand the illegitimate power of government, and defend those rights in speech and action.
